Consists of two letters: one dated 21 November 1827 to Bernard Barton concerning an edition of Holbein's Dance of Death; and a letter dated 10 March 1837 to an unidentified correspondent concerning an article written by a Mr. Balfour for New Magazine. This second letter was passed on to J. Mitford, who endorsed it.
